Parkville Manor is monitored 24 hours a day for fire and smoke. We also have over 20 security cameras and professional security guards that patrol both the Park Town Hotel and Parkville Manor to ensure the safety and well being of both guests and residents. Solid concrete construction and state of the art engineering make Parkville Manor a safe and secure building to live in. Our main entrance is locked at all times and guests are permitted entry by each resident through the EnterPhone system. Closed circuit television allows you to see who is arriving at the front entrance, and it allows our staff to monitor many common areas within the building at all times. An emergency call system is monitored 24 hours a day so you can alert staff should help be needed.
Our Chefs use their expertise as well as industry research to create menus especially designed for older adults. Meals are low in sodium and fat and the desserts are lower in fat or sugar. We have numerous choices at each meal for both entree and side dishes, including a daily vegetarian option. Our menus follow Canada's Food Guide for portion size and nutritional value. Our staff will work with residents to ensure they understand all of the ordering options available to them, and to help them make good food choices.
Although some people choose to sit at the same table or with friends at meal times, we do not assign seats in our dining room. Our meals are served over the course of 1 1/2 hours… residents can come down to meals at their leisure.
